These cables are chosen for use by those who are the most demanding of their equipment.  Attenuation (loss of power expressed in decibels) on R-8X typically runs from 15 to 20 percent less than that of RG-58A/U type coax.  The assembly is terminated with molded, weatherproof PL-259 connectors.
