The MK-SB18 mini-kit is the perfect set-up for those wanting to mount their 3/8"-24 antenna on a horizontal surface that isn't perfectly horizontal. This could include trunk lids and fender edges that will accommodate its 1.5" (38mm) circular base. And, for those of you who have wanted a fold down option, this is the kit for you. You get a professionally designed mount and 18 ft (5.5m) of professional grade Fire-Flex coaxial cable (with Firestik's exclusive Fire-Ring connector) all in one package! And, if that isn't enough, you save money when you buy these parts in a kit form instead of buying individual components.

    The swivel joint on this mount travels beyond 90-degrees in either direction from vertical. The wing nut tightening assembly makes it easy to adjust the angle of the antenna. The base is designed to work on any mount with a 1/2" (13mm) hole. It can also be mounted directly to any flat surface that is 1.5" (37mm) wide or wider. The mount portion stands 2.2" (56mm) tall ... the combination of the mount and antenna whip joint makes for an over all height of 3" (76mm). The base includes a rubber gasket/seal to protect against water leaks. All exposed metal parts are finished in classy, gloss black chrome. If additional security is needed, the optional SLS-1 key lock set may be purchased to prevent casual or criminal removal of the antenna.
