The worst, most unreliable and inaccurate power meter I have ever used. I purchased two Astatic 600's (one for myself, one for a friend) and both were highly inaccurate. Power readings were off by several hundred watts - a 10m amplifier that is showing 300 watts on two comparably-priced Dosy's and a Bird meter read over 950 watts on the Astatic 600 meter.
SWR readings were highly flawed also when compared to an MFJ Antenna Analyzer. SWR's read 1.3 on an antenna that according to the MFJ showed a 1.8 SWR at 27.2050 MHz. Not only is this innacuyrate, it is dangerous as it can lead to permanent damage of your high priced radio equipment.
The casing of the unit is flimsy and feels very cheap. The knobs and switches are of very low quality and feel as if regular use will break them.
Astatic should be ashamed to put their name on such an inferior product and Para Dynamics should be ashamed to manufacture and sell such inferior trash...
