I purchased the 500-B 36 inch black Halfbreed CB Antenna, made by Astatic. It’s a little time consuming to tune but it's worth it to spend the time to tune it using as good SWR Meter. Once you have it tuned the Halfbreed Antenna's SWR is almost totally flat across the entire CB Radio band from channel 1 to channel 40, (SWR from channel 1 to channel 40 is below 1.2:1 SWR). Reception is great, transmission is great, I highly recommend this antenna.

This is a very nice antenna. It has a base coil that is approximately 7 to 8 inches in height and then a stainless steel whip. I installed it on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. It blends in and doesn't look out of the ordinary. After I set the SWR on my CB, get a 1 on the low channels and just over 2 on the upper channels. I haven't trimmed the whip yet, but I am sure once I do it will reduce the gap in the SWR between the lower and upper channels. The instructions were straight foward. I would recommend this antenna to those who would like a base loaded antenna with a shorter height for going in garages, one that lookes like it belongs on the vehicle, and receive good performance for the price.
